Maintaining Your Oral Health   Itís not just a cleaning...
Donít under-estimate the value of your preventive visit with your dental hygienist! Regular visits to our office are important to maintain the health of your smile and to uncover any early warning signs of disease.

Daily, research continues to reveal the connections between oral health and body health.
Oral bacteria and infection, such as that encountered in periodontal (gum) disease, has been linked to increased inflammation levels throughout the body; this can be a complicating factor in systemic medical conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

Periodontal (Gum) Disease is a progressive disease that begins when bacteria penetrate and grow beneath the gums.

  • Common signs of Periodontal Disease are bleeding or swollen gums, persistent bad breath, receding gums or "loose" teeth that do not have a history of trauma.

We recommend that our patients visit our office every 3-6 months for routine preventive care.

  • At this visit, Dr. Reardon will perform a thorough dental examination with necessary digital xrays, photos or diagnostic saliva tests to evaluate the condition of your teeth, gums, and jaw joints and look for signs of periodontal disease, oral cancer or other abnormalities.
